Born in 1967 in Pazar/Rize, Mahmut Asmalı completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul, and his university studies in the Civil Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University in 1989. He began his career as a Site Manager, and he took office as Assistant General Manager in the private sector after putting his signature under many successful projects between the years 1989 and 1998.
Mahmut Asmalı was born in 1967 in Pazar district of Rize.
Asmalı completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul and his university education in 1989 at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering. He started many successful projects in his professional life, which he started as a Field Engineer. With these successes, Asmalı became the Assistant General Manager in a short time in his career in the private sector.
He left the company he worked for in 1998 and founded Akyapı İnşaat with an engineer friend. For more than 20 years, he has carried out projects in all areas of the construction industry, from factories to qualified residences, from villa constructions to industrial sites and shopping centers, from hospitals to schools.
Mahmut Asmalı also, apart from the construction sector, in the country; automotive and tourism companies carry out activities in the fields of foreign trade operating in the chemical sector. Asmalı continues its PVC production in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and its construction activities in Frankfurt, Germany.
Asmalı was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Turkish Economic and Business Ethics Association (İGIAD) in 2009 for her successful work.
Taking an active role in Non-Governmental Organizations, Asmalı is a member of the Entrepreneurial Businessmen Foundation (GİV), the Board of Trustees, IGIAD and the Istanbul Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO).
Asmalı carries out social responsibility activities as the Founding Vice Chairman of the AKYUVA Foundation, which carries out activities for orphaned children and disadvantaged families.
Mahmut Asmalı has been a member of the MUSIAD family for many years and has served at many different levels.
Asmalı served as the Chairman of the Construction Sector Board at MUSIAD, a Member of the Board of Directors of MUSIAD, the Deputy Chairman of MUSIAD and the President of the MUSIAD Karz-ı Hasen Fund.
Asmalı was elected as the President at the 26th Ordinary General Assembly of MUSIAD held in September 2021.
Mahmut Asmalı is married and has 5 children.
